LIFE COACH VS THERAPIST

One of my gifts, as well as my curse, is my ability to tap into my intuition and empathize with people. I truly feel a soul connection with my clients and that is where the most intense healing can occur. There were many occasions throughout my career as a therapist when I was meeting with a client and I wanted let them know how I felt we were karmically connected, or discuss astrology, metaphysics, or various topics that are really not "appropriate" as a therapist. In these instances, I just didn't feel that I was fully able to give myself to my clients. I am still a therapist and while I do feel that I give my all to my private practice clients, the strict code of ethics that I abide by is always in the forefront of my mind.

My philosophy has always been that we are all born with an innate knowledge of what is best for our lives, however due to the outside messages that we receive along the way, we become misguided and “lost”. As a result, we may develop unhealthy coping mechanisms along the way that sometimes manifest as self-sabotage or just a general feeling of dissatisfaction in life. It has always been my desire to assist people in rediscovering what they already have inside themselves. As a life coach, we are equal. While I consider myself a professional, you are a professional of your own life and no one knows you better than yourself. My role as your coach is for us to work together to uncover your sub-conscious negative self-beliefs, identify your blocks and obstacles and unlock you full potential so that you can begin to live the life that you deserve.
